Who writes SilverStandard, and how

We write in the same language, cover the same topics, and keep the same links as the site that once lived at this address. The subject did not change. The stewardship did.

What we are

A plain-English reference and buying guide for 925 sterling silver jewellery: rings, earrings, necklaces, toe rings, Celtic pieces, sets, and care. Every page starts from the material and works outward to the product.

What we are not

SilverStandard is not a continuation of any previous brand that used this domain. We do not claim the name, the logo, the history, or the customer base of any former owner. We are a new, unaffiliated project that inherited the topic, the market, the language, and the links. Nothing else carries over.

If you were a customer of the previous site, your old orders, warranties, and accounts are not ours and we cannot action them. Contact the former owner directly for those matters.

How we work

We define the material first, then the product. Prices are stated in GBP. Hallmark information is checked against the Assay Office standards in force. When we get something wrong, we correct it on the page and note the change.

Corrections

Spot an error in an alloy figure, a price, or a hallmark description? Email the editorial address in the footer. We will verify it, fix it, and acknowledge the correction.
